LiveHouse was a two year project 2008- 2010 developing an arts platform for creative inter-action of residents of the Carlton Housing Estate in Melbourne, and part of the City of Melbourne’s Carlton Flats Arts Project. LiveHouse culminated in a program of social engagement over the summer of 2009-2010 led by tenant hosts from a modified portable shipping container.

This was a performance by a band called Horn Of Africa, which performed Songs from Sudan Ethiopia, Somalia,Eritirea and Kenya, it brought the resedents of the estate to enjoy the Melbourne sun.

Jorge finds found objects the best transport!
No taxis, three shopping trolleys full of percussion convoying thru the estate along Rathdowne St., stopping curious motorists as we crossed the road to Jorge’s home!
